When it comes to selling your house, your initial thought will probably be to approach an estate agent and go down the traditional route of property sales. What you might not realise is that if you want a quick house sale, estate agents are probably not the best place to go.
Aside from all of the upheaval associated with choosing an agent, valuations, viewings and keeping your house in good decorative order, estate agents do not always price and market properties with your needs in mind. Some will inflate a property’s price when it first goes onto the market, with a view of selling it for as much as possible. This of course, reflects in their commission.
When there is little interest from buyers, the agent might slowly lower the price and months have gone by before there is eventually any interest. Even then, there is no guarantee that the buyer can get finance. Maybe the buyer will have to sell their house first. There are so many variables in house sales that it is rarely straight forward.
